Con “tonelaje real” me refiero a que hoy en día en México, los minisplits que se te venden son de 1, 1.5 y 2 “toneladas”. ¿Porque las comillas? Me preguntaran. Pues esto se debe a que realmente ese no es su tonelaje, la NOM 023 de Eficiencia energetica, indica que todos los minisplits deben cumplir con la norma y demostrar que si cumplen con el tonelaje indicado por el vendedor. Chequen bien, si el minisplit que les ofrecen no tiene la etiqueta de la NOM 023, ¡mejor busquen otro!

Todos los minisplits tienen al lado una etiqueta como esta, que indican la capacidad de enfriamiento y/o la capacidad de calefacción, es ahi donde indica el tonelaje en medida de btu’s.

12,ooo btu’s equivalen a 1 tonelada.

18,ooo btu’s equivalen a 1.5 toneladas.

24,ooo btu’s equivalen a 2 toneladas.

Si conoces el tonelaje real de tu equipo, ¡evitas que te hagan tonto! es mejor comprar un minisplit si sabes que realmente dará la talla en tu hogar. Si su tonelaje es menor al que realmente necesitas, el minisplit enfriara mas lento, gasta mas luz, se desgasta mas rápido, y tiene una menor area de eficiencia.
